Description
The BASILICA OF CONSTANTINE was the throne room of CONSTANTINE the Great in Augusta Treverorum, (today called Trier), the imperial residence for some Roman emperors It was build 310 AD and a part of a great palace complex. The throne room was equipped with a floor and wall heating system and was full of marble. Today it´s the largest extant hall from antiquity. The room has a length of 67 m, a width of 26. m and a height of 33 m.
